Olivia :)

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share some pictures of Olivia! Its pretty much just me and her during the day so we have plenty of time to hang out! Of course with Jetta things have gotten more interesting! They have definitely started to play better than before so thats good.

Olivia is developing into a real person now. I knew it would happen but it still makes me sad because she is not a tiny baby anymore! She does not have an extensive vocabulary by any means. We pretty much have daddy and hi down pat but thats about it. She likes to talk and she is always giving me an earful I just don't understand her! She loves to read and is always bringing me books to read to her. Its so cute when I find her sitting on the floor with a book in her hand.

She loves her sister and misses her when she goes to school. She knows that the big yellow bus comes and takes sissy to school and brings her home. I think the bus is her favorite part of the day. She gets so excited when she sees it, her face just lights up! Sometimes she even dances and waves at the bus too! She actually likes waving to everybody for that matter...from the checkout people to other patrons in restaurants she is such a friendly little thing! She does have a bit of diva side and she likes to throw tantrums if she doesn't get what she wants. Hopefully she will grow out of that. I do like to call her my little drama queen! I could just eat her up!

Anyways, I am by no means a photographer, I just like to pretend I am. So these are some pictures I took today during our "photo shoot" :) Now you can eat her up too!  Enjoy!

Name Change!

So I thought everyone was in agreement on our new puppies name. Charlie said he liked Shadow yesterday and Ava just loved it too. Well today Charlie tells me we are changing her name because Shadow just didn't sound right to him. :) Not a big deal. So we have changed her name to Jetta. So now we welcome sweet Jetta to the family!

Big News!!!

I am so excited to announce the addition of Shadow to the Murren household! She is our beautiful little husky/german shepard mix that we got yesterday. She is 6 weeks old, mainly black but has little white socks on her feet and she has one blue eye and one brown. The girls are so excited to have her. This is Ava's first pet and she has been dying for years to get a dog. We told her that once we moved into a house she could get one and she has been reminding us constantly of that since we got here! So far she has been a great puppy and has gotten over her initial shyness and is now real playful and full of energy.

Olivia is not sure what to make of her yet. Shadow is trying to take her toys and Olivia doesn't like that.  Shadow likes to be all in her business and Olivia is not quite ready for that yet!

Home Sweet Home!

So I haven't gotten around to taking pictures of the house lately. A- its been messy and B-well, its been messy. So today I went around and picked up(in some rooms) to show off our beautiful new house! I am so excited about this house! I have so many things planned for it and can't wait to spend a couple of years here! Enjoy the pictures!

Here is the front of the house. 

Our beautiful dining room! I'm so excited, for the first time since owning this set we actually got to put the leaf in!

 Master bedroom. Don't mind the toys...gotta keep Olivia entertained while I am working in there!

 Olivia's room. Definitely need some furniture in here.  The new baby will share with Olivia when she is a few months old.

 Living/Great room. Huge. Love it. The girls love it. They get to run around in here and be crazy.

Kitchen. Love it. Notice the beautiful hardwoods too! Eventually we will put some bar stools at the island, but until then it will be like this. So much space!

And just because she is cute as a button...little Olivia found herself a new hat!

Water, water, everywhere...

This is not outside a convenience store.
This is inside my garage.
No we are not expecting any inclement weather, unless you count my husband. Last night he had to run some errands for work and one of his stops was to Sam's Club to pick up some water for the guys he works with here in Augusta (it gets pretty hot outside). Well the 3 packs of water he got last time didn't last too long so he decided to buy a palette of it this time. Well...he didn't quite anticipate the effect it would have on his truck. He called me to tell me that he had a problem, one that might cause his vehicle to tip over. Me: "Well what do you want me to do about it?" Like I could prevent his truck from tipping over. You see the water in my garage now is not even half of what was in the back of the truck. Not only did it weigh his car down but it tipped over in the bed of his truck before he left Sam's. Thankfully Home Depot was across the street and he bought some cords to tie it down. Either way...he did make it home safely with no tipping of his truck. Since he couldn't go to work like that he did the only logical thing available to him...put it in our garage until he could take it to work.  Lucky me.

And so it begins...

Today was the first day of school. My baby is starting first grade today. First grade. I can't believe that she is that old to be in first grade. Needless to say she did not get much sleep last night because she was so excited. She has been waiting for this for weeks now...especially since we met her teacher last week. She was up bright and early this morning, around 530, while Charlie's alarm was going on. She told me she was trying to find us because she thought we would be up...yeah right! I finally told her to go back to bed which of course she didn't do because "the sun was up".  She was fine getting on the school bus...I, however, got slightly emotional and felt like crying...stupid hormones. I still have Olivia here to keep me company today as I anxiously await the school bus this afternoon...at 4:10 to be exact...to pick up my baby and make sure no one was mean to her at school and that she had fun. Wish me luck!

Olivia's BIrthday!

OK... so apparently we've been so busy this summer I forgot to mention Olivia celebrated her first birthday... in JUNE! Bad mommy! We had so much fun that day! Not only did we celebrate her birthday but I finally got her baptized too! I rolled two parties into 1! So after the morning baptism we went back to my parents house for the party where we enjoyed some tasty food and delicious cupcakes made by me! Olivia really enjoyed her cake too. She got a lot of great presents from friends and family. Thanks to everyone who made her day so special!

I know this isn't birthday related but here is our new car! After we found out we were having baby #3 we needed to upgrade to something a little bigger than the civic! However, I was not ready to become a minivan driver...nor will I ever be. Love the new car!

First blogging experience!

Hello everyone! This is my first attempt at blogging. I'm excited that I will be able to share what is going on with all my friends and family! In a nutshell this is what has been going on with the Murren family this summer:
*bought a new car
*Moved to Augusta, GA for Charlies work
*found out we are having baby girl #3!
*took part in an attended my sisters wedding
*took a trip to FL and visited Universal Studios and SeaWorld
*and when we weren't busy looking for houses and cars we enjoyed spending time with our families!

So we've had a lot going on this summer and I am looking foward to things calming down a bit once we get into a routine with Ava's school and Charlies work! BTW Ava's school starts on Monday! EEK! She will be starting first grade! She is getting so big! Anyways, thats it for now! Stay tuned to see what the future holds for the Murrens!
