homemade paint

so i found a recipe for homemade paint on pinterest, found here. ava was begging for me to make it so yesterday we did. the paint was super easy to make...just 1 c water and 1 c cornstarch and food coloring of choice and voila! homemade paint. the girls had lots of fun decorating the front sidewalk. the coolest thing for me was the clean up. i know right? all i had to do was sweep up the mess and it was gone! too easy! good messy fun for about 45 minutes!

2 years and counting...

2 years ago today we welcomed our 2nd baby girl into the family! It has been a fun 2 years and I'm loving my sweet Olivia! She is such a fun, carefree, and sometimes reckless little girl! She is sweet and kind and always is requesting kisses and hugs and to swing and to read. She tries to sing the ABC's and is learning how to count. She loves her sisters, especially Ava.

Here is a video of us singing her Happy Birthday last night...Charlie is working in Atlanta again so he is going to miss her birthday so we had cake last night.

Another garden update :)

So our little garden is doing well. We are getting ready to pick some beans from the bean plants! Ava can't wait! We have a few small tomatoes and peppers! The corn is doing better since we started fertilizing it, it is getting tall now...the tallest hitting around my knee. I know its not the best but hopefully it will continue to grow and give us lots of corn! We no longer have blueberry bushes thanks to the dogs. No more watermelon or broccoli either. We have some carrots, not sure how well they will do but time will tell! Can't wait to eat from our little garden!

loving summer...

Summer is definitely in full swing now. We've had trips to the pool, bowling alley, vacation bible school, library and just playing in the backyard. I am lucky that I get to spend all day with my three girls, as challenging as it is, I do enjoy it! Looking forward to more fun and adventures this summer.
